Sequential Selection

Samantha Stephens presents her solo show Sequential Selection bringing together work driven by a desire to hold multiple meanings, embrace ambiguity, and carry an undercurrent of humour—offering a release from the often overly serious tone of the art world while still acknowledging the weight of an unsettling reality. Combining earlier print works, now reframed as socio-political commentary, with new paintings that mimic the aesthetic of printed text, the artist draws on personal reflections, conversations, and cultural fragments to create pieces that are more autobiographical than instructive. Balancing playfulness with criticality, the work reflects an ongoing commitment to asking difficult questions and examining power, purpose, and our place within it.

Opening Monday 20th April at 5.30 PM.
